Western Abenaki Language Weekend II
When: Friday-Sunday, October 14th-16th, 2011
Where: Ndakinna Education Center, Greenfield Center New York


   During the three day weekend we will offer useful classes, with plenty of hands-on activities (including lots of fun songs and games) and create a semi-immersive environment together.

Accomodations:
There is plenty of space for RV parking, camping, and beds are available within the Ndakinna dorms on a first-come basis. While we encourage staying on-site, there are also hotels available in Saratoga Springs, which is only 3 miles away.

Cost:
The weekend is free of cost. However, once registered, we will contact you about helping provide at least one meal during the weekend.

Focus:
Our focus this entire summer is on the meal. So types of foods, eating and drinking, food preperation, and the table (fork, spoon, knife, plate etc...), will always be at the core of this seasons gatherings.

    3-5pm Arrive at Ndakinna and set up.

    7pm Intro To Abenaki. with TPR (total Physical Response) game
    7:30 Class Time / Adalakidimek
    9pm Camp fire gathering. Share songs, stories and freely practice your language skills with others.

    Saturday/Kadawsanda
    8-10am Breakfast/Sp8zwipow8gan
    10-10:15am TPR/Stretching - Sibali
    10:30-12pm Lesson 1
    12-1pm Lunch/Paskwaipow8gan
    1-2pm Lesson 2
    5-7pm Dinner/Adl8gwipow8gan - Meal time conversations!
    8pm Share stories and songs at the campfire

    Sunday/Sanda

    10-10:15am Sibali/Morning Stretch - Greeting the Dawn
    10:15-11:00am Plant walk - Identification in Abenaki of the many varieties of plants in the Ndakinna preserve.
    11-12pm Lesson 3
    12-1pm Lunch/Paskwaipow8gan
    3-4pm Closing and breaking camp
